Did anyone in Dekalb County talk to the restaurant owners that do not have much or have no parking about this? I do not know anyone that wants to have a time limit imposed on their lunch. Liquor by the drink is expanding in Emory Village. Maybe it will not be expanding as much as we think.

What will we have to endure next? An expansion of Park Atlanta meters into the Emory area?

So far, there has been no information about parking tickets for violations. Hopefully most folks can keep it to an hour or an hour plus some extra time so enforcement people can stay out of our neighborhood.

(Posted on behalf of Mark Goldman and Perry Mitchell)

Dear Friends of Burbanck Park,

We want to give all of you who came Saturday morning a big THANK YOU -- it
was obviously our best turnout ever; we had at least 25 folks!

A special thank you goes to Glenn Memorial for arranging to have so many
hardworking members volunteer their time as part of their annual Good
Neighbor Day. The Emory student contingent was excellent.

And if you couldn't make it, you're in luck: Fall Clean-Up, Part Two -- The
Planting is coming up on Saturday, October 29, from 9 until noon. It has
been too hot to plant, so we need to do a shorter morning in late October to
get a number of things in the ground before winter: several replacement
azaleas and some new ones, plus some other shrubs and more ferns, and even a
tree or two,.

For now, please just save the date of Saturday, October 29 on your calendar.
We'll send a reminder the week before.

Thanks again for all your hard work -- the park has never looked better!
