About DHCA
DHCA is a non-profit membership organization with a volunteer board of directors and 9 committees that work together to support and advocate for Historic Druid Hills.
We are an advocate group, not an authority.
our history.
The Druid Hills Civic Association was founded in 1938 to preserve the Druid Hills neighborhood for residential use and to protect the unique heritage of the area. While we have served the neighborhood in many capacities over the years, we now consider ourselves an advocacy group that connects our community.
our mission.
Our mission is to "Connect neighbors, foster civic engagement, and steward the neighborhood’s beauty.”
We focus on fostering a sense of community, keeping our neighbors informed, and building relationships with the agencies & officials that govern or impact Druid Hills. We aim to influence policies and regulations that affect our neighborhood.
doing better, together.
The money we raise, through membership dues or events like the Historic Druid Hills Home & Garden Tour, goes straight back into the neighborhood. We spend the vast majority of our revenue each year funding projects or supporting organizations right here in Druid Hills.

We hold quarterly town hall-style community meetings, and eight Board of Director meetings each year. These meetings are open to the public and are most often held via zoom. We host an annual Meeting of DHCA Members each spring, where our members vote on new board position members, make modifications to our bylaws, etc. This meeting is only open to current year members of DHCA.
